ELICOS
The IEU represents Directors of Studies, teachers and support staff in the English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students industry.
In 1989 the IEU established the first award in Australia for the ELICOS industry and has achieved regular wage increases ever since.
The Union is constantly involved in negotiations to improve wages and conditions for teachers at the state level and for teachers and support staff at individual colleges.
Officers from the Union are available to advise you on your entitlements and working conditions either over the phone or by visiting your workplace.
In addition, every issue of Newsmonth contains an editorial by ELICOS Organiser Kendall Warren.
